Mitzi from Kentucky (USA)

Today's WHY I Sew submission comes from Mitzi of Kentucky.

Child with Quilt

Here is her story:

"This quilt was created for my granddaughter, Cameron. I decided I wanted to create a quilt for each of my granddaughters as a Christmas gift, and to whittle down my collection of scrap fabrics collected throughout the years. Cameron is my girly girl, so I knew she would appreciate the bright colors, and pinks and purple fabrics prevalent throughout my scrap bin. I still bought fabrics to fill any color voids, but managed use much of it on this one. Unfortunately, these labors of love only served to ignite a fire in myself for quilting, so my scrap fabric hoarding problem has only gotten worse. I hope she will always view this quilt as something created with love."

Thanks for sharing Mitzi!
